Our company is looking to hire skilled, hardworking generator technicians to join our team.
Job Description:
Perform routine preventative maintenance ( oil and fuel filter changes, oil samples, fuel samples), and inspections on all generators and automatic transfer switches.
Troubleshoot and repair alternating current electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches, generator controls and engine related mechanical failures.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and initiates procurement of replacement supplies and equipment as necessasry.
Collect data for preventive maintenance system.
Maintain activity logs.
Complete work orders, reports and find parts for repairs as needed.
Perform load bank testing and merger tests.
Operate assigned service vehicle, multimeters, physical test equipment, specialist tools, power and hammer drills, diagnostics laptop and proprietary software tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Abilities:
Engine repair- Ability to utilize a variety of shop tools and equipment to perform routine repair work of equipment, with knowledge and ability to overhaul from the block.
Time Management- Ability to plan and organize daily work routine. Establishes priorities for the completion of work in accordance with sound time-management methodology.
Communication- Ability to communicate ideas effectively, including the preparation of reports and logs. Ability to listen and understand directions, information and ideas presented verbally and in writing. Proficient with creating repair estimates-sourcing parts and estimating repair times.
