We are looking for a competitive Heavy Equipment Rental Sales Representative to develop rental sales strategies and attract new rental customers. The successful rental salesperson will source new rental sales opportunities and close rental sales to achieve quotas.
The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and driving rental sales. As a Rental Sales Representative, they will be required to have and maintain a full understanding of the competitive rental landscape and market conditions.
Responsibilities
Promote equipment rental activity with existing customers and new customers.
Builds relationships with customers, follows up on leads.
Identify prospects, ensure customer satisfaction, and constantly seek new opportunities to drive business growth.
Seek and coordinate all field intelligence and disseminate data to all parties directed.
Communicate regularly with management, summarizing activity with customers and manufacturers, including name of company and persons contacted, purpose, results, and general statement about level of business activity and customer attitudes.
Maintain sales contact database for use in mailings and other rental sales work.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school education or GED equivalent required.
Valid Driver’s License
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Proven sales experience
Track record of over-achieving quota
Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
Computer use competency
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Self motivated and driven
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
2+ years’ experience in heavy equipment rentals
Solid understanding of local market conditions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
Willingness to travel occasionally to client meetings and industry events.
Adaptability and resilience in handling challenges and rejection in sales activities.
